One of my favorite types of books to read, I’m not even sure if it’s a genre of what it is, is YA mystery/thrillers, basically books like One of Us is Lying. I love them and will read all of them.
I’ve read quite a few on this list and have just as many on my TBR and have added any that weren’t on it, to it. I don’t know what it is about these that I like, but I usually like all of them (with a rare exception.)
I ended up getting all of Karen M. McManus’ books on Kindle deals and have read 2/4 so far and very much look forward to reading the others. If you also like One of Us is Lying, check out these books.
This basically turned into the ultimate list of YA thrillers. I just kept finding more and while they aren’t all the same premise of One of Us is Lying, I think they are all still good for the genre. These aren’t all just like One of Us is Lying but if you liked that, you’ll probably like these, too.

I read this one in February and I liked it but I liked The Cheerleaders more and can’t wait for That Weekend.
Genuine Fraud

This description is right from Good Reads because I honestly don’t know how to summarize this:
“Imogen is a runaway heiress, an orphan, a cook, and a cheat.
Jule is a fighter, a social chameleon, and an athlete.
An intense friendship. A disappearance. A murder, or maybe two.
A bad romance, or maybe three.

A girl who refuses to give people what they want from her.

A revolution. An accident. A secret.
Lies upon lies.

This one is really similar to One of Us is Lying but in a mansion instead of detention.
The Ivies

I am so excited for this one!
Everyone knows the Ivies, the coveted universities, but not everyone knows the Ivies, the five girls at Cafflin Academy that will do whatever it takes to get into the Ivy League.
They disrupt class ranks improve their own odds by decreasing the chances of others. The competitive college admissions process is serious business. And even sometimes deadly.
Dead Girls Society

This is another one I am SO excited for. I’ve wanted to read this one for a while though but keep forgetting about it.
Hope is sick of being treated like she’s breakable just because she has cystic fibrosis. She’s sick of being babied by her mom and over protective best friend, Ethan. She’s worried about how to pay for her expensive medicine. And she’s bored with her life in her run-down New Orleans suburb.
So when an invitation from a group called the Society arrives, she jumps at the chance for a ticket out. She just has to do some dares to earn some real money but soon she finds out the game isn’t a choice. It’s a requirement.
This one also kind of sounds like NEED, but a little different.

Have you read any of the books like One of Us is Lying? Which ones? Which is your favorite? Which are you going to read next?
